The APDI is an organisation made up of like-minded, experienced Motorsport Instructors and Driver Coaches who regularly provide professional instruction in a number of skilled driving disciplines, from circuit driving (including karting), rallying, sprint and hillclimbs to off-road, stunt driving, car-control, dynamics and skid control.
Background: Anthony has been competing in motorsport since 1991 and has been an ARDS instructor for over 16 years, initially working at Silverstone and for many other organisations in the UK & worldwide. He also runs his own private coaching business ‘IWannaGoFaster.com’.
APDI Role: Initial communication & general guidance
Background: Ben has competed in motorsport since 2002 and is one of the UK’s best known driver coaches. He is also a qualified Road Driving Instructor (ADI).
APDI Role: Training, investigation & general guidance
Background: Tim has been racing since the late 1970’s, mostly in single-seater categories from Formula Ford 1600 to Formula Renault, and also Sportscars and GT/Supertouring cars. He is an ARDS Grade “A” Instructor. He also provides web services for many well-known race teams & individuals.
APDI Role: Website, e-communications & general guidance.
Background: Justin competed in Single Seaters and Sportcars from 1985 to 2010 and was also an ARDS instructor working for many major car manufacturers. He formed Everitt Boles, the UK’s first dedicated motorsport insurance brokers and now oversees MORIS - the world's first on-line motorsport insurance website.
APDI Role: Insurance & administration
Background: Mike has a huge wealth of competition & instructing experience. He was a Formula One Driver for BRM & Ensign in the 1970’s and also World Sportscar Champion in 1986. He currently races in Britcar and is one of the few drivers to instruct both on the ground & in the air in helicopters.
APDI Role: Ambassador & general guidance
Background: Neil has raced since the 1970's in Formula Ford and Formula 3. He is well known for Managing the Performance Centre and Instructor Bookings at Rockingham, is also a current ARDS Grade"S" Instructor and has held an International B Clerk of the Course Licence. Managed the British F3 and other Championships for the BRDC.
